Do you have to be a Club Scrap member to go? Absolutely not - we love all papercrafters! The benefit of being a CS® Member is receiving a 10% discount, making it only $355.50 for a weekend of fun!
What airport is best for arrival? Check fares at Austen Straubel Airport in Green Bay (GRB) and Outagamie County Airport in Appleton (ATW). Each destination leaves a scenic 90-minute drive north to camp.
Is there transportation to Silver Birch from the airport? There are car rental agencies available in Green Bay and Appleton. Carpooling can also be arranged among fellow local attendees at your discretion.
Will we be able to ship items to and from the camp? Yes! Ship your supplies to Club Scrap in advance of our get-together, and they'll find their way to camp for you. Purchases made at camp will be shipped home to you at no additional cost; however, personal effects will be shipped for a nominal fee.
How many people per cabin? The cabin sizes vary, and the number of guests per cabin will be determined by bunk space. Guests will sleep on "bottom bunks" only and will have ample access to heated bathroom facilities. Bring a hair dryer, toiletries, sheets, pillow (or sleeping bag) and towel. Air travelers can rent linen/towel sets from camp for a small fee. We will help you make arrangements, if needed.
Can I request my roomies? Of course! We will be asking who you are traveling with and will make every effort to accomodate your sleeping arrangements. Very little time will be spent in your cabin, but we want it to be as pleasant as possible.
How big of a table area will I have for crafting? Each personal cropping space is 4x4 feet with four people per group. Electrical power is available at each station. Feel free to bring seat cushions and personal lighting.
Do we take down our cropping area every night? Your space is your home for the entire weekend. Keep your supplies and projects firmly planted in the same spot until Sunday when we all head for the hills.
How late can I stay up to crop? All night, if 'ya like! This is camp, but there will be no "lights out" policy like you had when you were a kid. If you can make it, go for it!
What kinds of workshops will be available? The five optional workshops will include the outstanding Club Scrap® fare you've come to expect. No need to worry about reserving a spot in a workshop rotation, they're all included.
What supplies should I bring? You will be informed of specific supplies needed for your workshops prior to departure. Beyond that, it's entirely up to you! Basics include your 12" trimmer, scissors, adhesive, ruler, photos, CS® kits, projects, etc., plus a flashlight for night trips back to your cabin.
If I don't bring anything along, can I purchase items at camp? There'll be limited complimentary emergency supplies available at workshops. Additional supplies, projects and ALSB kits will be available in the Pro Shop throughout the weekend.
What kind of clothes should I bring? March in northern Wisconsin can be a mixed bag of just about anything. Rubber boots or golashes are highly recommended as snow melts and re-freezes daily. Dress in layers and plan for a wonderful variety of outdoor temperatures.
Will there be internet access? Yes, limited internet access is available, but usage is discouraged as this is our time to escape. Download ALSB instructions and Scrap Raps for inspiration prior to arriving at camp.
What if I have a food allergy? Please inform kitchen staff of any serious food allergies.
Can I bring my own adult beverages? Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at camp. You may bring your own sodas, water, etc. There are soda machines, 24/7 coffee, tea, hot chocolate and ice water available right in the crafting area.
If the weather prevents me from coming, will I get a refund? Rain, shine, sleet, or snow, we'll be at camp. If you are unable to come for any reason, you will receive the projects, gifts and goodies "in a box" delivered straight to your door.
