Project by Kay Williamson This darling little album was a hit around the Clubhouse. I love making things out of stuff I have in my stash. There's so much potential in just a few pieces of paper, some matte board, and these great chipboard elements from the Let Me Count the Ways collection. Supplies:
Assembly is easy! No stitching required! 1. Trim papers to 5.75" in height. Score and fold every 3.75" to create an accordion. Nest and adhere a series of pages to your desired length and number. ![]()
2. To cut a nook within inside pages, select a chipboard element to be revealed within the nook. Trace around the chipboard piece onto the right edge of the pages that will contain the opening so that you can see the element. Cut the nook into each page with the grid ruler and craft knife, making the nook 1/8" larger than the traced lines. Protect the page that will hold the chipboard element with the cutting mat. Attach the chipboard element to a little "hinge" made from cover stock...hide a tiny photo or quote inside.

3. Fill inside pages with photo mattes, photos and embellishments so that you'll know the thickness or bulk of your inside pages. Cut (2) 4x6 plain matte board pieces for the front and back covers. Rub black ink onto matte board edges, if desired. Attach front and back of the accordion pages to the chipboard covers. Bind the left edge of the book covers with strips of ribbon, as shown. ![]()
4. Cut (2) 3-3/4 x 5-3/4" and (2) 3-1/4 x 5-1/4" cover stock mattes. Nest the small mattes onto the larger mattes. Cut the decorative chipboard elements with a craft knife, rub edges with black ink, and attach to the nested mattes. Attach embellished mattes to the front and back of the matte board covers, hiding ribbon ends. ![]()
And....enjoy! Have fun decorating the inside pages!
