What are the details - I can't remember!!
CS_Christine said:
Make a Christmas card for everyone that signs up. If the group gets really large like last year we had 33, I just split everyone into 3 groups. If you had time to make a card for all 33 you could choose that option or just make 10 for your group. Send the cards to CSHQ and I'll ship them out with your December kit membership. Non-members are also welcome to join!
rhonda vlahos said:
I am in, my cards are still hanging on my door
and it gives me such joy to see all these
beautiful cards everyday all year round.
Lulu said:
just happened on this, Christine! I love all my cards from last year!
Will try to come up with something. This is the year I normally 'buy'
my cards. (Handmade every other year.)
CS_Christine said:
Glad you see I didn't even advertise and I have 4 participants already!
cheryl mixon said:
I've already been working on some ideas in anticipation of this swap. Claire and I were messing around a few days ago to come up with something.
I'm in!
KnitterPam said:
Yea! This was so much fun last year!
paddlegal said:
Thank you Christine for doing this again. I love my collection from last year's swap.
crzymom said:
I loved this from last year! The cards were gorgeous (as always!).
mhpetty said:
Gosh! How can I resist! Add me! I might even change my CS membership from Jr to Sr so I can get them earlier - sounds like I might want to CASE some!
Dayna K said:
Woo hoo....it's back! I'm so glad! I have to say that getting those cards was just awesome last year and I can't wait to do it all over again!!!
mhpetty said:
I didn't see my name so I'm signing up again!
CS_Christine said:
19 now!!!
rangersrulems said:
I'm in again too! Loved getting all your cards last year, you all are so inspiring!!
Lulu said:
I worked on some prototypes this morning. Going to pin them up in the
paper studio and enjoy while I make my OE ATCs. Maybe by the time I
finish them, one of the prototypes will be my favorite....
Thanks so much for doing this, again, Christine!
m_coleman3 said:
This was my first swap ever and I loved, loved it so much I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with this year.
Lulu said:
Christine -- Last year you put proper names with those that signed up. Could you do this again, so
we can formally address our cards.( I know most of the ladies, but I would hate to mess up on any!)
Thanks so much,
Lillis
CS_Christine said:
Yes, thank you for the reminder Lillis. In a couple weeks, once we have all the participants, I'll get a full list posted.
dmb321 said:
this is my first card swap
CS_Christine said:
You are going to love this swap!
Glad you can join us.
tichwoli said:
i am so sorry but right now i do not know if i will be able to do this in time - i broke my right wrist in two places yesterday snd i am right handed
rangersrulems said:
Owwwee! sorry to hear about your wrist Annette! I hope you heal fast and get back into doing what you are so good at! You are a part of this swap anyway and I am certainly going to include a Christmas card for you whether or not you can complete yours! Take care! Mary
paddlegal said:
OMGosh Annette! How awful...I am so sorry. I can commiserate with not being able to craft or much of anything else. I hope you heal quickly and keeping good thoughts that you are not experiencing much pain.
Dayna K said:
Annette, I'm SO SORRY to hear about that....we are praying for your healing. Hopefully it doesn't keep you from crafting for too long!!!
janierangerette said:
sounds like fun!!!! Count me in!!
nchoney said:
Yay... I definitely need to do this..... now I need to run to GHM and order some paper just for cardmaking.... Christmas... here I come!!!!
buechs said:
Christine, I haven't done a swap like this before, but I'm excited for a new challenge. Please add me to the list. Thanks.
CS_Christine said:
This swap perfectly divides into 3 groups with 36 people!!!
You are only required to make 11 cards for the people in your group. I've updated the group lists.
If you are feeling ambitious and/or have more time, please feel free to make cards for all!
nchoney said:
I know I'll make at least 11 ... might try for 22..... have to put my creative mind to work so I'm ready when my paper arrives in my Nov. kit... fun fun fun!!!!
Dayna K said:
I'm so excited about this swap! I had so much fun doing it last year! Christine, if everyone doesn't mind, is it possible to get everyone's proper names to address our cards to? I enjoyed being able to personally address all of my cards last year. I'll do my best to make a card for all 36 participants!
cheryl mixon said:
Do we need to let someone know if we're doing all or do we just send them in?
CS_Christine said:
I've updated the list with everyone's proper names.
No need to make a commitment or tell me how many you will make.
Please just make sure they arrive @CSHQ before November 30.
Let the fun begin!!! I'm excited to get mine started!
paddlegal said:
Christine, when I click on the link for the names, I see them for about 1/2 second and then they are gone. Is there another link you can give me?
Lulu said:
I put mine in the mail, yesterday....
nchoney said:
Are we posting pictures of our cards anywhere? Before or after we get them? I know I'd love to see everyone's... even though I'll only get 11 back (didn't have nearly enough paper to make 22 or 33.. darn it)
mhpetty said:
Christine - Could you clarify for me: Is our choice to make for our group or everyone (all 3 groups), but not for two groups? That's what it looks like in the directions, but just wanted to make sure.
Thanks!
CS_Christine said:
You are correct Marsha. You are only required to make for your group. If you have extra time/ambition you can make for everyone. Glad I can clear that up for everyone.
janierangerette said:
OK! Got my idea going (my mo jo!) but have a question. To personalize them do we address it with an envelope? just write a note inside? What is the easiest and best for the distribution?
Thanks
Janie
Dayna K said:
Yes, you need to put the name on the envelope so that Christine knows what PB to put your cards in. I wrote whatever I wanted for each person inside. Hope this helps!
KnitterPam said:
I don't seem to be on the list. What happened?
KnitterPam said:
aaaack, I joined this swap, but I can't seem to find my name on the list now. Waaaaah!
CS_Christine said:
I'm not sure Pam, I don't see you enrolled.
I've added you to the first group since Annette won't be sending in cards.
nchoney said:
Have to sign mine... and then they're ready to go in the mail.... hooray!!!
tichwoli said:
i have a few ovr 20 cards which i will have mr. wonderful write in and address. they will be mailed together with the december birthday cards during this week
Dayna K said:
I've been working on mine over the weekend and some more today. They are almost ready to assemble!
mhpetty said:
Sorry Christine, I guess I'm a little slow to understand! Does this mean we can't make cards for two groups? It's either one or three? That's what it sounds like, but it seems strange, so I wanted to make sure. I think two groups would be doable for a lot, but not three. Thanks for your patience with me!
Hopewal said:
My cards for group C will go in the mail tomorrow! I am excited to see everyone's else's creativity!
CS_Christine said:
Marsha, yes you can make cards for 2 groups.
rangersrulems said:
Mine are done and going postal tomorrow! Can't wait to see what everyone has created!
KnitterPam said:
omg, christine, you just made my day! i duno what happened either! anyway, i'll get right on it!
tichwoli said:
i prevailed on mr. wonderful who has prepared my cards for group 1. thew will be mailed together with the december birthday cards over this wekend.
nchoney said:
I mailed mine today.... hooray!!! In case folks don't make the connection, I signed them Mike & Debi Daugherty .... had fun making them!!
janierangerette said:
Well, almost got my cards done yesterday but ran out of adhesive for the last few . . arrgggg! So will spend the day watching the SF 49ers (sorry Green Bay fans)
and addressing envelopes. Speaking of envelopes I was wondering - do you all make your own envelopes? Or if you buy them what is a good source to get good card quality ones for a good price? Would love your input! Thanks!
pooh219 said:
Dropping mine in the mail this afternoon. Happy Holidays!
janierangerette said:
Fantastic day today! I got the cards done and in an envelope ready to go postal tomorrow AND got my WOW kit delivered! I love CS!

cs_karen said:
Hello, everyone!
While I'll miss Christine terribly, I'm honored she chose me to take over this swap as "chief holiday elf"! Boxes and envies of goodness are already starting to arrive...I can't wait until they are all sorted and swapped so I can crack into my share of the goodies. I'll post a list of those cards we've received shortly.
Thanks!
tichwoli said:

cs_karen said:
Annette...he truly IS Mr. Wonderful! You'll have to thank him for all of us!
tichwoli said:
he was actually very good about doing this - he knows me well and really wanted to make sure that i did not flake on this commitment even though i cannot even hold a pen right now
teacherreilley said:
Phew, I finally finished
I planned on making 36 cards but my supplies and energy crashed after making the first two sets. So I am truly sorry Group C, but I'll try to make it up to you somehow

Merry Christmas!!
cs_karen said:
beva: I'm sure you know this...but you are welcome to still send Christine's card in care of CSHQ. We see each other often outside of the office and I can see that she gets it.
On another note, I did take time to open my awesome cards last night...and they are incredible! Thank you so much to everyone who participated. My husband was even excited to check them out. I usually hang the holiday cards we receive as a family around an archway in my home, and its already half covered!!!

tichwoli said:
I too got my box today and absolutely love all the cards which came in it. Thank you all so much and special thanks to everyone at CS who make this swap possible.
Hopewal said:
I would like to apologize to Group C...my idea of the swap was that we sent unmarked handmade cards that could be sent on to your family and friends. I didn't realize we were suppose to sign them as actual cards to each participant. So, my bad for not knowing the rules and messing that up, now I know! The cards I received are very beautiful and I love the time and thought and personalization that went into each one of them...Thank you so much for the opportunity to be in this swap! Again I am sorry for not putting into this what I got out of it! Have a Merry Christmas Everyone!
Sincerely,
Hope Waldner
cs_karen said:
It's so good to know that folks are enjoying their cards! I just wanted to let everyone know that a few swappers' cards must have been held up in the holiday shipping rush, as I'm still receiving a few batches here and there.
If you're a JR or CST member, I'll arrange for these to be shipped with your kits in December. If you are a CS member, I'll put them in your next CS kit...they'll make nice new year's greetings, too!
Thanks again to all the participants...I hope you'll all join us again next year!
CS_Christine said:
Hope- No need to apologize. The swap is open to however participants wish to make their Christmas cards.
buechs said:
