but I just can't help myself!
Here I am. All alone at the printer's, in my own little corner, in my own little chair at the far end of a pretty substantial conference table (you're not feelin sorry for me, are ya?). I'm working my little heart out, doing whatever I do to help make papercrafters everywhere happy. My mission? Press checks. That's designer/printer lingo for camping out at the

Can you believe that I'm actually busting out a blog here? It's been ages since I've popped in to say hey . . . but here I am in the early morning hours with all my work done ( :) ) and I just got the urge to chat it up!
Actually, I'd really like to thank all of you who participated in the card call for my dad as he recovered from his bypass surgery — he was just blown away by all of the love

Wow . . . it's been a long time since we've chatted. I've been holed up in what I now lovingly call my "little shack on the lake", knee deep in paint and spackle! Fortunately, the rejuvenation project is in the home stretch, so I can come out to play every now and then. What I am most grateful for with this move is the incredible view . . . Ah-mazing!!!! (If I can figure out how, I'll load a

This is one of my favorite kits... the beautiful Purple, Yellow, and Brown tones of Be Still are PERFECT for Spring greetings.
We all had so much fun playing with those clever little 3 Hour Tour Unmounted quotes - what a blast!
Oh! I had completely forgotten about the adorable little brads in the Be Still Embellishment Cup - you know, the ones with the little loop that you can wrap fibers,

I am once again shaking up my life . . . as if I'm not busy enough, I've decided to pack up all my belongings, my two little pups, my daughter's stray cat that has been bequeathed onto me for an undetermined amount of time, and my youngest son, Weston (a.k.a. "The Baby") and move us all to a happier place.
My inspiration came after I had the pleasure of visiting Jac and Mr. Scott at their

Shall I tease you a bit? (Here's where the little voice on my left shoulder says, "Why not? It'll be fun!" . . . he's the guy wearing red with pointy things sticking out of his head!)
I don't know if you're all aware of this, but I'm the one who gets to see the fresh, hot Club Scrap® papers come off the press each month. I load up all the delicious art that our Design Teamers have fine-tuned to

OK . . . I'm finally ready to admit it. After a five-year, self-imposed dry spell from the dating scene, I took the plunge. And I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised!
(Cliffnote update: My sister and her husband set up an introduction to an acquaintance of theirs during a party at their house in early December. He was nice, but it wasn't really a situation where we could get to know one

You may have been thinking that the phrase "avoid the rush" refers to being the early bird . . . getting ahead of the game . . . being the first one in line . . . well, I'm here to tell you that it's just not necessarily so!
Take my Christmas cards, for example. Although I completed them weeks ago on a rare Saturday afternoon with my sister, I failed to get them addressed and in the mail until

As of yesterday at 4:37pm, I have completed the Twilight series books!
In October, when I was in Sacramento for a Taste of Club Scrap (TOCS) event — an all-day workshop sponsored by a local Crafter — a Member named Denise enlighted me on the whole thing, even borrowing her book to me (I'll get it back to you, I promise!) And the fun began . . .
I must say that, even though the whole vampire thing

Okay, so I'm sure you've all been waiting at the edge of your seats with popcorn in hand for the end of the last blog story . . . you know the "experimental date" saga? Well you can settle back to your seat, finish up the popcorn, grab that box of milk duds (my personal fave), and suck down that last gulp of diet coke . . . here goes . . .
For those of you who missed the first "dinahsode", here's
