I cannot tell you how excited I am about the awesome response we've had for the 2012 Weekly Chronicles challenge. There were an AMAZING 57 participants for our first week! AND one of those participants was the lucky winner of the random drawing for a GHM Gift Certificate!

Last week the  challenge was "Resolutions". The artwork submitted was incredible...such variety, considering  almost everyone

So, I've been reading about this thing called "Project 365" for some time now. I loved the idea of photos and journaling about the everyday things in my life, you know, the daily minutae that you normally wouldn't document. Sure, we all scrapbook the "big stuff", like birthdays and holidays, but 20 years from now, will I remember that 2011 was the first December in six years we didn't have a

Digital...from "virgin" to "newbie"...

Okay, so, I've been lurking around the Gallery admiring all those folks who do digital layouts for some time now.  I've been wanting to try it for YEARS. While I know I'll never be able to give up "traditional scrapping", I finally took the plunge and dabbled with digi yesterday!

This layout was inspired by the layout Jac demonstrates in her digi for beginners tutorial. I just used Solstice

Hangin' Out with Hot Chicks...

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. My "to do" list actually included cleaning my crafting area, but I got bored with that real quick and decided to make some fun cards, instead.

I pulled out the UM stamps from the 2011 Retreat and got to work. I just love the sassy sayings...they're great for those occasions that call for a more humorous card.

Wow, time sure flies when you're having fun! (And we truly did have a great time at the Halloween party. Thank you for all the nice comments about my invite, it was a hit!)

But much like you see in the retail stores this time of year, it's all about Christmas the second Halloween is over. And, since I'm involved in the Christmas Card Swap this year (not to mention my own personal Christmas card

I don't know about you, but Halloween is one of my favorite holidays (after Christmas, of course). I'm always looking for the right kind of decorations...I'm not really into "cute", and with tweens in the house, nothing too "gross". Does that make sense? I'm more of a "creepy without being gruesome" kinda girl.

So, since my family decided to have a party again this year, the challenge was to

Top 9 Uses for the Drop Spine Box!

As many of you may have noticed, we have a new product category in the GHM! Dept. called the "Premade Boutique". (In case you didn't notice, you MIGHT want to go check it out!)

There are some really cool premade pages and projects available, many of them one-of-a-kind, and the inventory is constantly changing. However, several premade versions of one of my favorite projects EVER, the Drop Spine

I'm dreaming of a handmade Christmas...

Just before the October Main Retreat, visions of sugarplums were dancing in my head...okay...not really, lol. BUT...I WAS starting to think about the holidays, and how I could utilize my (ginormous) stash of CS goodies to make handmade cards and gifts.

So, I did a little digging, and pulled out some of my UMs and Stencils from Holidays past and PLAYED. Here's a few things I made:

I just love

I was so excited when I saw the papers from our brand-new Crafter Classic collection. I knew from the name, Concrete Playground, that I'd like it because Concrete Jungle was one of my favorite recent kits. But wow, Wow, WOW...this collection is just so colorful and playful...darn it, it's just plain FUN! (If you love it as much as I do, click here to find the nearest Crafter Rep to get yours!)
