I immediately fell in love with the bead cup this month when I got my sample. I've had it sitting on my work table at home for a week 'er two, just waiting for the beads to jump out of their cute little cup and fashion themselves into something I could wear. Finally, they did!
I have countless things in my closet to match the earrings, necklace and bracelet. I used every last bead in the cup to make the set. Starting with the bracelet, then earrings, and finally finishing with the necklace. I added about five turquoise chips between each silver bead (from my stash) for the bracelet, and about 10 chips between each silver bead on the necklace. I finished the ends with a simple toggle clasp.
But then I just couldn't resist making the gift box, too!
There was a 3-1/2 x 3-1/2" Kraft box just aching for a home taking up space on a cabinet in my studio! I layered Adobe papers on the top and stamped the lip of the lid with "Enjoy this Day" from the Blossom UM collection. Between each repetition of the words, I stamped the mini sunflower from the "Arts 'n Crafts" UM's. Finally, I found this dragonfly charm I've had in my embellie drawer for, um, years! I threaded it onto the ribbon and attached the ribbon at an angle across the lid with copper brads. I just love how it all came together.
I hope you have time to play with your Adobe kit soon! (And if you don't have one yet, you'd better grab one quick. . . they're hot!)
