On the move.

I am once again shaking up my life . . . as if I'm not busy enough, I've decided to pack up all my belongings, my two little pups, my daughter's stray cat that has been bequeathed onto me for an undetermined amount of time, and my youngest son, Weston (a.k.a. "The Baby") and move us all to a happier place.

My inspiration came after I had the pleasure of visiting Jac and Mr. Scott at their beautiful home on the lake . . . I was smitten! After that, the more I lived in my cramped little condo on the highway, the more I felt claustrophobic with no space, and no further outlet for my passion to decorate. So, I set about on an internet search — for those of you who may not know, this task alone was quite an undertaking.

Success! My search led me to a lakefront site in an amazing neighborhood with an incredible view. Here's the catch . . . the little ranch home that sits on this site has been neglected for decades. At first glance, it actually took my breath away as I imagined all the work involved in making this a presentable home . . . needless to say, I have really outdone myself in creating a project for myself (and quite possibly others who I love)!

The kicker is that the owner wants to tear it down in 4-5 years, so any TLC I choose to give this little palace on the lake will be rubble and dust very soon. Ahhhhhhh . . . the challenge thickens . . . and so it goes with the lake palace project.

The attached pic shows the results of some of the first round of packing achieved on Saturday with my mom and Weston's help . . . can't wait to show you some of the CS projects I'm gonna be able to incorporate into this redo.

And, as we all know, Dinah tends to be a little short on "guys with hammers." But she's got at least one on her "guys with irons" list!!!!!

Congrats, Dinah! Make the place as homey as you want. A lot can happen in 4-5 years ..! Enjoy those lake views. I live on the Maine coast and cherish my harbor views. They can turn any day around; there is something so wonderful about the water. Enjoy ~

Living on the water is a wonderfull experiece, one you will always treasure. I love the fact that you can fix it suit you tastes, always makes it feel like home. When we moved to Sicily I choose to paint the rooms WE LIVE in such as the kitchen, office.scraproom/master bedroom and living room.

Enjoy...have fun... and don't forget to upload pictures of the transformation.

Go for it Dinah! Make everyday count towards a new joy in your life - be it big or small. Maybe just a new sunrise... or a flower that blooms that you didn't even know was there. This is your spot for now - to enjoy and grow in.
