January me this...February me that.. My Calender Gift Ideas

I decided about three months ago that I would make calenders for gifts this year, not only with ALSB pages at the top, but also adding flair and fun to the bottom day pages as well.  Since I ALSB for a living, this was a really fun project for me because I actually knew what I was doing!! Ha ha.   CS has the best UM stamps for the numbers, months, and days..and what's great about using stamps for these is that I could stamp different colors for each month.

I found that using rub-ons over the days area really added some life to the pages, and can also be easily written over with pen.  What also came in handy are all the great CS stencils that we have to offer! Using my stylus tool, blending tips, and one of many stencils I own, I went to town on decorating each calender header.

I LOVED, LOVED this month!!  I had so much fun using the flower stencil from Avant Garde, adding the rub-ons, and ALSBing the pictures up above.

Here is an example of what the calender looks like put together. I attached with rings in the center, using CS page protectors, and then I added ribbon to the very first page with brads so it can be hung on the wall. Due to the weight of the calender, I suggest only hanging one month at a time.

The final example of what it looks like put together, keeping it simple at the top, and adding leaves and stamped images to the bottom. On some of the calenders, I matted the Calender pages, on other I didn't.  Either way, they turned out great, and I already gave out one last night... Kelly loved it!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

I just want to know how you got the grid for all the days printed on your paper! I haven't figured out how to do something like that on my computer.

Actually she may have used the calendar pages that are for sale in GHM-I think I have some of those stashed away-both the older 2003 ones and the newer ones!

Yep, that's what she used. The calendar pages are for sale in GHM in three different flavors - mint, pale blue and beige. Buy some of each and mix-n-match. Too fun - I think I will do up some of these for an FFC display! Thanks for the samples and ideas, Amy!
