I think I Just Figured it Out!

Every time I sit down in my recliner, one of my kitties, Pain, jumps up on my lap, promptly turns around so I get the rear end view and settles in.  If I touch her she gives me this "what are you thinking?" kind of look over her right shoulder.  If I try to pick her up for a snuggle, she bolts across the room and into the kitchen making noises that I swear are the kitty equivilant of cussing me out.

Well, I know my fur babies love me because they all plant themselves around me when I'm sitting still.  Herc, (Hercules) my German Shepherd is at my feet or beside my chair if I'm sitting.  It's a good thing he's so big because I'm constantly tripping over him and I'm sure I'd hurt an itty bitty pup if we had that kind of relationship.  Pain and Panic (my kitties) are always nearby too, although Panic tends to hang with my son Ben more often because sister Pain is quicker and usually gets to my lap first.  She doesn't like to share.

So, what did I figure out?  Well, it occurred to me while I was relaxing in my chair and Pain came over and plopped down on my lap and Herc collapsed on the floor half under the foot rest of the recliner that they were both "watching" TV and that my chair has the best view in the house.  Huh....it's not me after all, it's the coveted best view of the TV!!!

But I know they love me as well.  After all....I'm the food lady too!

Aren't fur babies great! My pup actually watches TV, too. Older sister Koko loves Daddy, Cesar Milan's dog who often helps him rehabilitate. Kali isn't picky at all--she'll watch whatever I'm watching.
