Halloween Invitations...the challenges of avoiding "cute"...

I don't know about you, but Halloween is one of my favorite holidays (after Christmas, of course). I'm always looking for the right kind of decorations...I'm not really into "cute", and with tweens in the house, nothing too "gross". Does that make sense? I'm more of a "creepy without being gruesome" kinda girl.

So, since my family decided to have a party again this year, the challenge was to come up with an invitation that fell along that same feeling. That's when I remembered that cool decorative fence stamp from my sheet of Versailles Club Stamp UMs. I thought it had that ornate old mansion feel, so I combined it with a blended ink background, a coupla stamps from my stash, and voila...just the right "creepy" invitation! How fun is THAT?!?

I agree. . . just the perfect amount of not-too-creepy 'n not-too-cute.

Your card is so good that I'm convinced there's a cemetery behind that fence without even seeing it! Great Card! thanks for posting. Hope your party is fun!
