Tonight Uatchet & Nekhebet bridge from Junior Girl Scouts to Cadettes and they receive their Bronze Award for their Millis Girl Scout Juliettes Crochet for a Cause project! One of my gifts to them is a 6x4 landscape album (in GS green) that has these mini digital layouts for each of the badges that they earned as Juniors!  Next time around we'll create the layouts as they earn their badges since it really is handy to have around when people want to know about their badges... They earned so many in these two years that they not only ran out of room on their sashes but we keep mixing up what we did for each one when relying soley on memory!

 

 

Note that GS is phasing out many Junior Badges, but girls can still earn them! Get your hands on the badge book & badges either in GS stores or on Ebay... many of these badges offer great lesson plans to help reinforce what yoru children learn on field trips, museum visits, in the classroom, etc... Academic related badges are great to work on over the Summer to keep up your children's skills... travel, photography, art, and nature related badges offer a great way to make those trips to the beach more than just a way to avoid the heat... Cub Scout handbooks also offer great lesson plans! As do all levels of GS badges!
