My husband has a friend that I've never met. . . until this summer. He invited his buddy Chris and his family (total of five) to stop at our house during their big road trip from New Jersey to Kentucky to Wisconsin. What the heck? We were right "on the way"!
We had a ball together, and I wanted to pass along a momento of our time together in Wisconsin. Chris' wife is a scrapbooker, too, so I thought she'd like this clever contraption. The 12x12 die cut (The Flip Folio) is one of my favorites. It's hard to believe that's what it is once you've decorated all of the panels and closed the book!

I really like how the flaps are all pre-cut and scored at the appropriate widths and all ready to go. I chose an orientation for the book based on the direction one would open it, and I kept all of the photos faced accordingly.

The guy right there. . . that's Chris. Fun guy. Chris and Cliff are like two peas in a pea holder.

Since the family was on a mega road trip, I thought it would be fun to incorporate the elements and colors of the Cruisin' kit. It was a perfect match. It was a blast to re-visit all of the silly and totally appropriate quotes in that collection!

This goes in the mail tomorrow! I hope they like it! Oh, and Kay. . . thanks for taking the great pictures of my projects in the studio!
