Club Scrap's Greetings to Go!!!

and this particular collection has a whole lotta get up and GO!

love these bright colors, very lively, very smile inducing.

check 'em out   Club Scrap's Greetings to Go!!!  this collection is available in two cool color combos. each collection provides enough materials to create 15 cards (and the envelopes are included too)

whoops, a little blurry on the first shot. sorry.

i thought i'd take you for a walk thru my process. sometimes these bags full of cards can be daunting, and this one also comes with 4 diecut sheets. the diecuts work with one another, but if no one tells you that, you might find yourself muttering 'hmmmmmmm'.

ok, first thing, unbag the kit, set aside the envelopes, check out the cards and the panels, and set them by each other, for easy access when your creativity starts soaring.

then, punch out all the diecuts. i leave all 4 in a stack and then bend and wiggle along the dielines to convince them to start breaking apart. when you have them all separated, start dealing them all out into piles like this:

this way you can start to see how they work together, and you'll get a little mental inventory of what you've got.

next, grab a sampling of the cards and panels, head over to your ribbon bin and select a handful that 'jive'. (always add black and white if you can) don't bring the whole bin, that's too confusing. limit yourself to a handful.

over the years i have found that limiting yourself to only a handful of supplies can make larger projects more managable, easier to accomplish. plus it pushes your creativity. one idea leads to another and another, ultimately it will be the very last card you make that will be your favorite.

then you'll need some greeting stamps. same thing,  just grab some, don't lug your whole collection over. if you're looking to make all HB cards, then grab some of your birthday greetings, that way you can find the one that fits into the design and vise versa.

ok, so you've got your blank cards, blank panels, frame in frame diecuts, ribbon, stamps...check check check check and check.

adhesive? black ink? remote control for the tv/dvd? beverage? snack? cell phone?  i'll wait. do you have everything now?

it's time to get started. fold your cards and start dealing out elements to a few. create those cards, and then do that again, deal out a few more elements.  (refer to the group photos for really easy ideas if needed)

and here are some close ups of a few of my faves.

(favorite punches in action) a simple embellishment...punch a shape right out of the tag, and use the both the tag and the shape! 2 for 1!

oh i know, i know, a moment of insanity on this one, but it's the one i like the best. the flower petals are the discarded parts from the tags. they were laying in a pile, and, and, and you know how that goes.....(it's like a total freebie!)

whew, i hope you had as much fun as i did! i'm pooped out.

off to make some soup, (no, not out of paper)

ttfn, zwick

Your cards are beautiful and love the color combinations. I just started to do cards and your explanation on how to start and sort everything before putting them together works for me. Great job!
