Lucy always does this in our local group and i started posting it here last year?? maybe the year before?? anyway, i thot i'd grab my kits (since my AB hit today) and look over the last year and give them my personal grade -
January - Lotus Pond - i personally loved this kit ... have only a few sheets left that i bet i'll be using when i get my act together to scrap the cruise pix ... A
February - Comics - nice bold colors, not loving the theme, but i know i'll eventually use it all ... B
March - Raku - i think i've used every scrap of this paper ... LOVED it, was great for camping and water falls, anything outside ... A
April - Welcome - i've used some of it ... actually i think the majority of it ... wasn't a HUGE fan, but totally usable and pretty - B
May - Papillion - i'm not sure i have much of this left ... i know Lucy wasn't a fan, but i loved the colors and the butterflies ... oh i got some GHM at retreat, so i do have some... but not much ... i even bought that great stamp! ... A
June - Dream in Color - used it all and then i bought a second set of paper at retreat ... just love the colors and the graphics ... A
July - Just Dandy - i've used about half the paper, thot i'd used more, but apparently not ... this kit also worked great for summer pictures ... A
August - Versailles - the colors are nice, graphics are not annoying ... i wasn't WOW'd by it, but i know i'll use it, though i've not used much yet ... B
September - Orient Express - not my favorite .. i know i'll use it eventually, but i've not used much of it so far ... nice bold colors, interesting graphics, but not really my style ... B
October - Comfort Zone - not sure i get the "sticks" that came with this one, but the colors are nice (probably desert pix next summer) and the graphics are not overwhelming ... very nice kit ... B
November - Tilescapes - i've not had a chance to use this one yet, but i really like the bright colors and the modern design, i know i'll use it all quickly ... A
December - Aurora Borealis - just got it and i really do love the graphics ... will work for snow and camping and desert, maybe formal dances ... did i mention i like/covet the UM sheet?? :D ... A
Retreat Kit - eh ... its kind of cute and i'm sure i'll use the paper EVENTUALLY, but not totally WOWd by it ... C
WoW Holiday - nice cards, like the UM sheet, not super impressed with the projects, the videos were fun to watch, not amazed but nice ... B-
Valentines kit - didn't order it at the time and TOTALLY regretted it... snagged the LAST ONE at retreat ... A
was there a summer wow of some sort?? maybe i didnt get that one??? hmmmmmm
anyway, overwhelmingly good for me this year. my least favorite kit was the Retreat kit, but since Retreat was so fun, i think it makes up for it.

p.s. nothing is meant as a criticism, i still LOVE CS and with the overabundance of kits i really enjoyed i dont see that changing .. not every kit is for every person, right?? :D

I do have to confess that i've never met a CS kit that i hated... some i love more than others and others i am just so-so, but as a USER, i have found and always find uses for all of them later - M |
