Layout #1 and #2 ~ BEFORE Pictures

I have had a blast making fun creations with the endless supply of delictable papers at the CS Clubhouse. I named this set "Beach Party" for the bright and vivid colors that play on our senses that summer has almost arrived. "Science" mixed with "Avant Garde" created the perfect palette for this layout.
Layout #1 and #2 ~ AFTER with Pictures and Embellishments
I found this layout was great for an event you have alot of pictures of but don't want to spread it out over more than 2 pages. The small squares are great for pics as well as journaling or embellishments. I used the Wheel and Sprocket Alpha stickers for my title, inking those and the mattes with black ink to make them stand out. Add photo corners when you don't have a photo matte available.
Layout #3 and #4 ~ Before Pictures

A simple and easy layout that doesn't need alot to be great. Remember, it's what you add that is what scrapbooking is all about!
Layout #3 and #4 ~ After Pictures

I love these colors! Here is an example of how I made the original pages from above, but turned the 2nd page to give it a different look. Don't ever feel you need to stick to the ALSB plan, move things around to fit YOUR needs. It happens to most of us where we only have horizontal/vertical pics and they don't fit the original photo matte direction. Change it up, and you will be loving the end result!
Layout #5 and #6 ~ BEFORE Pictures

Who would have known how awesome the Handmade Lime Green from "Mosaic Twist" would go with "Science" and "Avant Garde"? I was tickled green with this fantastic combination! Summer, outdoor, lua, party, beach pictures... this collection had enless possibilities!
Layout #5 and #6 ~ WITH Pictures and Embellishments

Again, I turned the left page to accomodate the direction of my pictures. I also added the Avant Garde Cutouts to add a touch of jornaling and fill in some of the empty space.

... Wow, wow, wow. Amy, I always think of Avant Garde as too bright and wild for me. And I am usually scared of layouts that incorporate a lot of little mattes for a lot of photos. But your use of these papers and the multi-photo layouts are totally inspiring and completely awesome!!! I am also jealous of your WDW trips. (Said the girl who hasn't been back since Nov., 2006, sniffle!) Great job, and thank you so much for sharing!!! |
