Sorry for long silence... I'm been very very busy, and also a bit discouraged about my Crafting business. Just can't seem to get new contacts in my area. I am working on two Workshops at my sisters house six hours away in a week and a half. One ALSB and one Card Workshop. Those Card Workshops are tricky! Once again, it has taken tons of time preparing for it. I hope it goes better than the last one! My sister has 9 people coming! And there were others, but I said 9 was enough for the space. Maybe she'll consider being a Crafter herself!
I'll let you know how it goes. Meanwhile, for any of you thinking of becoming a Crafter, you can see the first year is not all smooth going for all of us! Try to talk to at least two different Crafters with different experiences to help you evaluate it for yourself. I hope I'll have better reports in the future!

... Please don't get discouraged. If you are having trouble finding potential hostesses. try Diane's cold call wallets and free workshop offer and see if that helps. Any of the make-n-takes in the Crafter's File section would be inexpensive workshops to offer for the free one while giving you an opportunity to show CS value and quality to some new people. We're here to support you! |

... I agree with Nancy and Cathy. Sometimes you're up and sometimes you're down. That's direct sales, I guess. Just invite one friend over for an afternoon and show her how to make a card set or a page from one of the Idea Decks. Or try a technique together you've been meaning to try - like the mosaic carpet tape, or herringbone, or embossing. And definitely give those cold call wallets a try! Give two out at every place/appointment you go this week, seriously! |
