I've been silent for almost six weeks (at least on this blog!). Been sick for about four of them, so it's good I didn't have Workshops scheduled. Trying to schedule something in April was rather discouraging! Tried several dates, with no takers. Finally got 2 takers for a Card Workshop, was discouraged I couldn't find just one more, then 3 more just came through! So this coming Friday I expect five for a Card Workshop, and the next day an ALSB WS with at least one dear CSer coming from several hours away! She's staying overnight, so we are looking forward to some crafting time together.
So, dear friends, this FFC journey has been going slow for me! Sometimes I worry that it's a bit too slow! but so far every month there's been enough interest for a small workshop. I haven't been very successful in growing the small number of contacts I have. And so far, no hosts, no new members, and obviously - no new crafters! But I'm also not pushing it very hard either, just one Workshop a month is fine with me. Just hope I can get some new members on board soon! and have a regular monthly Crop. In my circles, scrapbooking is not appreciated, so admitting I'm a scrapper is like 'coming out of the closet!'

... Well, Marsha, it sounds like you are still in the right mind set. I too have felt discouraged and honestly have been trying hard to make this work. Keep up the great work and positive attitude and you will make a success of this business in no time! Sorry to hear you have been feeling sick. Hope you are back to normal soon! |
