I love POPs. They're great for doing ALSB pages, cuz they replace mattes without needing to cut into printed papers. And now that I've discovered ATCs, I cut the 5x7 for those, too.

I have no problem cutting my paper. i use my pops mainly for card making. I also like to use them to try new techniques.

Hi Everyone - When I joined CS, the POPS were a free gift. The only thing - they were not the POPS that went with the kit. I thought, what a waste, when the freebies were over, I didn't sign up for them.

After a couple of months, I thought, I'll add the POPS, that's when I found out that they were smaller scraps of the current kit. They are my most favorite part of the kit now. I don't cut up my 12 x 12's for mats, I just pull out the POPS. They are also great for cards and other embellishments.

I like to do what Carol does- extending my big paper. {I think it is part of me that still wants to be a horder?} But I also use a lot of my pops for making die cut letters, stamp embellishments, and lately more cards. :)

Actually one of my self-imposed challenges is to use my POPS on my layouts rather than cutting up larger pieces to make photo mattes. For the October kits I ended up with enough paper to do 3 more layouts, and 7 cards out of my leftover 12x12 and 8.5x11 papers - and still POPS left to play with!!

Welcome to the forum, Tricia! We hope to see more posts from you. <snort, snort> Is it just me, or do you find it a bit amusing to be welcomed as if you didn't own the place?

I find they are great for my daughter as well as me. She sees my PB and wants my 12 x 12 papers... Uh NOOOOO. Here are some pops. At one stage I was ordering us a set of pops each but with exchange rates etc I have had to modify my spending habits..

I am like you fuzzylover, I received POPs as free gift too. I thought how in the world to use these, they don't match anything. After the free gift was over, I went 2 years with no POPs until just 3 months ago when I found out the POPs match the kit. Now, I am addicted. I love them.

And I love you for it! Since Dana has shared hers with me I've used them for card swap fronts and for journaling (I just temp tape them on a regular sheet of papers and send them through my printer!) I had them sent for the first three months of my membership in '02 but found they were smaller peices but now they contain sizes I could use for matting! Love that! One third pound is perfect for me - thanks Dana!

I don't use them as much as I should. So now I'm splitting my set with my MN buddies Donna & Amy. Just enough for me. I requested a half-POP from CSHQ for those of us who don't use it as much but still love it.

I use mine mostly for photo mats, tags and extending the life of my kits, as others have already mentioned. I love that I can get more life out of each kit by using POPs. :)

Thanks for posting this thread about POPs. I have always thought about adding them but now I will do it for sure knowing how much bang you can get for the buck ( So many times I wish I had more paper to do more layouts and this is my answer!!) Thanks everyone!

I use my pops for everything! I tear into those before my kit....lol! any project i am doing that calls for a 5x7 piece of paper or smaller, i go to my pops! they are what i think about first before my big pieces of paper. i also use them for everything everyone else has mentioned. pops are wonderful! i get 2 per month and just couldnt live without them!

OMG Janna, I don't know what I would do with 2 POPs every month. I have so many now, I feel like I use them but they get here faster than I make space for new ones. I even use them for FFC projects/demos/make'n'takes as they are VERY economical.

:heartmorph: I LOVE my pops! I get them with every kit. While i do use them for all of the reasons that were mentioned before, I sometimes forget to use them in the middle of a creative tizzy! :spin: Another challenge for myself....use more pops.

Wow! All these great ideas for POPS. I started getting them several months back when friend told me how they help stretch her kits. I managed to get and extra 4 pages out of my Jr. Memoir during PSL. I have also used them on cards and as many of them are not too big, I've used them when I need something in "just the right color" with my Sizzix stuff. I have also used some of them with my Cricut - but I have to be careful, because I'm still learning the Cricut...don't want to mess up the great CS paper!
