I should probably fess up. During our 2012 planning meeting, I pretty much insisted that we do a Navajo themed kit.
More often than not these days, you'll find me glued to my computer perusing wedding, home decor, and beauty blogs. I'm pretty much addicted. During the last couple of months I had noticed an overwhelming Navajo-inspired trend on fashion, home decorating, and even wedding blogs. I

When I think that we've been doing this Club Scrap thing for 150 consecutive months, it's pretty hard to believe. That's 150 themes, 150 paper collections, 150 art styles, 150 stamp sets, etc.
So, last night I didn't have to take Emily from point A to point B to point C, to point A. . . well, you get the idea. So I carved out a bit of time in my favorite room of the house--my craft room. (Which

Wow. That's an interesting title. Hope you aren't too shocked to see that my blog is about handmade cards!
Our theme for Club Scrap's annual retreat was "Hot Chicks", and boy, did we have fun with that. This sheet of unmounted rubber stamps was the inspiration for my speedy-quick demo that I did during warehouse shopping.
I invited attendees to pick a card, any card, from the

The few leaves that remained on the trees in East Central Wisconsin were violently blown away by the excessive winds over the past few days. So, I figure we can recreate a few leaves of our own!
The outside of the card. . . pretty typical:
The inside of the card contains the "jumping leaves". Love it!
Here's the how-to video:
OK, your turn! Make one. Go jump in the

The Clubhouse was abuzz today with the release of our new
Comfort Zone collection. I'm just lovin' how this all turned out. I've been busy uploading artwork to the galleria at Club Scrap, finishing up on instructions, and creating digi pages with this set of papers.
One of my favorite cards from the G2G set is this simple modification of the Tan cutapart

I cut out the pre-printed leaves with a

Today was a hard day for me.
I dropped my daughter off for her first day of high school. I just sat in the car and watched her walk to the door, and I sorta felt like I could cry. She graduated from a class of 18 students in 8th grade, and now she has over 2,000 kids at her high school. She'll put in a 12-hour day today between school, swim practice, and show choir rehearsal, so I'll have to wait

It all started when Rita did the mash-up.
She discovered that a few of the 12x12 Prints from "Just Dandy" matched up with TONS of other papers in the warehouse. Up 'n down the aisles she went, choosing papers that made surprisingly wonderful combinations. It was like the Just Dandy print was a "paper eater".
Then, the "Just Dandy Mash-Up" was born:

Now, with the photo here, we placed many of the

When I make backgrounds with various techniques, I save 'em in a box. When I'm inspired to make a few cards, I grab the box and match up the art technique with papers from assorted CS collections. Then, I grab some stamps, and away I go!
This background was created with the "Silks" paint included in the Girls' Night Out kit. I dabbed the color onto a craft sheet, spritzed with water, and pressed

I know that this splashy "Dream in Color" collection has been quite an eye-opener for many of you! And while subtle tends to be our #1 flavor 'round these parts, I've gotta say that this has been a refreshing diversion for me. With tons of vacation photos in tow, I set about completing the 14 ALSB pages that correspond with this collection. About an HOUR later. . . here are the results.
