Today, I received word via Facebook that my son (William, 19) has passed his PT test in basic training for the army, so he is officially done with boot camp and will be off, I believe, to Monterey to continue his training in language.

I had these pics printed for a while, and finally put them all in place tonight, adding in a couple other details to make it fit the 'three kit' theme for PSL this

My First Workshop!

I am so happy to report,  that my first workshop is under my belt.  It really was more of an ALSB demo and intro to CS but none the less I am happy with how it turned out.  I got together with some wonderful folks,  including my good CS buddy Ron and his friend Bridget,  and can them a glimpse into what CS is all about.  I did get some constructive criticism from one guest, my 2nd cousin, about

2010:     Vision 500.   Lots of talk about it in the Forum, Dinah's classy cinema video, then another of her Conference Calls about becoming a Crafter.  Several reminders about that - and I suckered for it!   Then getting more detailed info emailed by Karen.   Hmm.....    Should I take this to 'the next level' and become a crafter?

My health has stabilized, and though I have part-time work and

Time has just flown by.  I had a great Christmas, and even got a little crafting time in.  This was one of the results.  I used the paper from the December kit for the plaid - just randomly drawing lines across the paper - LOVE how the whole card turned out!!

All in all it's been a great Christmas - run earlier in the day, great gifts, yummy brunch, hanging out all afternoon with a turkey dinner

Album Case - inside

album case

Oh, I just can't wait to give this album case project to my SSIL/SBIL in a few days at Xmas!  Seriously, I am so pleased with this.  They bought a new house this summer, so after looking at Terri's Retreat examples, I thought this album case would be great for them.  I downloaded pictures of the new house and their family off Facebook, believe it or not, printed them, and was ready to go in just

This is my first official furlough day in this set of 9 days off.  Thankfully, it's the last day of the payperiod, so the next two will be on the following check, along with next week Thursday - that's going to be a tough paycheck!

I'm awake at 7:30...laying in bed getting a few things done at the same time - but plan to get up here and go for a run soon.  I'm working on a crocheted scarf for

I think I found the 'spirit'....

This morning's church service was just incredible.  The choir sang as there was a narrator reciting the Christmas story.  There was gorgeous accompaniment by orchestra players, and it was very cool.  Then I came home, changed into my Club Scrap "jammies" (more like clothes, for me!!) and got most of the presents wrapped for the kids.  Realizing in the meantime how abundantly blessed we really are

Xmas Card

I had a few last minute cards to make - I found I was a few short as I was putting teacher gift together.  So I pulled some POPs and a mixed bag of GTG and went to work.  The base is Academy burgundy, the panel is text weight kraft from TYWL, stamped with Joyful UM image in Fuschia (CS Hybrid ink) and edged with Leaf, and the tag is from Groovy Christmas (07).  Quick and

Another weekend - Again!!!

This weekend wasn't too hectic for a change, which was nice.  Today, we went to the music extravaganza at church which actually sorta got me into the Christmas spirit more so than I'd been so far....that and knowing that I've done a bunch of my shopping and just have to pop some packages in the mail to feel like I'm accomplishing something would be great!

After looking at some of the great

Chillin....

This morning I vegged out in bed for quite a while - I think I got up around 9AM  As a result, I wasn't burning ANY calories as I usually have by that point - getting up and ready for work, and then often going for a 15 minute walk at 7AM to pass the time after I drop the kids off at school, before I can clock in.

Anyhow - that got me moving to get my calorie burn up - I wear my bodybugg all the
