The two Workshops two weekends ago went quite well! 8 at each plus me. The Card Workshop was a lot of fun - even the newbies got the hang of it, and waxed creative. There was enough structure and basic teaching for them to just imitate what I had done, but also plenty of room for their own creativity. All working around the same large table, people were learning from one another. It really

Sorry for long silence... I'm been very very busy, and also a bit discouraged about my Crafting business. Just can't seem to get new contacts in my area. I am working on two Workshops at my sisters house six hours away in a week and a half. One ALSB and one Card Workshop. Those Card Workshops are tricky! Once again, it has taken tons of time preparing for it. I hope it goes better than

To be honest, my Card Workshop a week ago didn't go very well. 5 came, 3 of whom were brand new to papercrafting. I'm afraid I overwhelmed them with too much to do - too many instructions, too many techniques, too many choices. It would have been different if all were experienced card-makers. I realize now how important it is to consider the guests's experience level when planning a WS. So

I've been silent for almost six weeks (at least on this blog!). Been sick for about four of them, so it's good I didn't have Workshops scheduled. Trying to schedule something in April was rather discouraging! Tried several dates, with no takers. Finally got 2 takers for a Card Workshop, was discouraged I couldn't find just one more, then 3 more just came through! So this coming Friday I

Yesterday was my second Workshop. It was great!!! 5 women, including my very supportive sister who came 6 hrs to support me! Two other members and two non-members. The moment people started coming in, there was enthusiastic chatting and laughter. A great atmosphere. It was wonderful having members there talking up CS! We had so much fun, and everyone wants to do it again. But alas, no

is history. It happened. Snow held off, heat was working, and two women showed up. It was fun, but I need a lot more practice! Was very glad it was so small this time. Too much to say! Tried to keep it as short & simple as possible, but it was hard not to sound like a salesperson. It will be nice to have a couple of members along at my next one, so they can also sing the praises

It will be a miracle if this first Workshop ever happens. It's still on for tomorrow, but today our furnace died. Plumber comes tomorrow and insists he'll have heat for us by noon. Workshop is at 7pm. Weather forcasts tells us another major storm is coming, with 14 inches predicted. Starting tomorrow night. Please God - let it not start 'til after

While I'm waiting for my Workshop next week, I'm having fun with PSL and working up some ideas for a Card Workshop. Love the stationary box featured in January's Scrap Rap. Just did that with Written Word and made 8 cards to go in it! Super easy!
I thought of something to share for those of you undecided about becoming a Crafter. Probably one of your biggest fears is meeting that minimum

OK, my two friends have agreed on a new time for our Workshop - a week from Wednesday (I'm totally busy next week and weekend). So we'll try this again! And who knows, maybe even pick up another one or two! Frankly, I've enjoyed a down day, kind of a day off from all the pressure. I think I needed a breather. I really do believe God is there... here... and knows what is best for me,

First of all, I received another excited 'yes' to come to my Workshop! That made two very enthusiastic young women! I was so excited... Had fun prepping (which took much longer than I expected!). Was in the middle of making a cake for the evening, and one of them called and was just too nervous to drive with the snowy roads. we've had over 40" in the last week! and yesterday's was the
