When developing ANY Club Scrap® materials, the number one priority and requirement for all of our products is that we only offer materials that are acid-free. If it isn't acid-free, it doesn't get the green light.

Lignin is the "glue" used to hold the "fibers" together when in the tree. When making high end, acid-free papers like ours, the pulp is treated to remove the lignin before it reaches the mill for papermaking process. The current method uses AKD (alkaline method of internal sizing), so the papers we use also have a natural pH buffer in them.
